what is justice?

If somebody ask me, “what is justice?”, I would say “putting something in the right place”. If someone ask me, “what is environment?”, I would answer, “it is a place where people live and growing up. It can be either growing up physically, mentally, spiritually or intellectually”. Everybody may have their own definition in defining anything. In fact, in judging an act of justice or (in)justice, might not as easy as some people think. The fact that not everyone may agree of what is just and not. Each individual on this heart has different values on what they want to believe is right and wrong. Therefore, to fully understand the meaning of environmental (in)justice, it is crucial to analyze the definition of the terms critically.

what we mean by  ”meaning”. According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary Online (OALDO), “meaning” has been defined in few different contexts. In the context of feeling and experience, OALDO states “meaning” as  “the real importance of a feeling or experience” while in the other context, it states as “the ideas that a writer wishes to communicate through a book”. In redefining the meaning of “environmental (in)justice” this paper will look at the background of the environmental problem and analyze the conditions that make an environment just and unjust, the outcomes of both types of environments and what can be done in creating more just environment.
